MY EMERGENCE AS RECTOR

In April 2022, a mind-boggling developmental stride for intellectual property transfer, a training center and promotion of usage of the local content was actualized by our Rector, Engr Dr Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa (FNSE, FNICE) as part of his promise to engage relevant authorities to collaborate with the institution to enhance the standard of education. This bold step was established with the foremost indigenous automobile manufacturing company in Africa- Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company (IVM). The Rector endorsed a Memorandum of Understanding with Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company. The collaboration yielded the birth of a new Engineering Workshop where staff and students of Mechanical, Electrical\Electronics and Mechatronics Engineering will learn manufacturing and production of vehicle spare parts. The synergy created opportunities for provision of raw materials by IVM for full blown production of electrical vehicles and ownership of IVM sleek cars at subsidized rate by interested members of staff.
